Visitors to the exhibition are in for a special poetry evening dedicated to honoring the late Iraqi poet Lami’a Abbas Amara, one of the most prominent poetic voices in Iraq and the Arab world. The evening will feature unique poetry readings of her timeless works, showcasing poems that reflect the suffering of Iraqi women, love, and patriotism, while celebrating her poetic vision, marked by sincerity and emotion.
The evening will include contributions from poets and critics who will discuss Lami’a Abbas Amara’s influence on the Iraqi and Arab literary movements. Some will share their personal memories of her, offering the event a deeply human and emotional dimension.
The evening will also include moments of nostalgia, as some poets will recite verses from her famous poems that celebrate resilience, dignity, and heroism. The event will conclude with reflective moments on Lami’a’s lasting impact on younger generations, and how her poetic legacy remains alive in the memories of writers and audiences alike.
